Warren's Happy Life

Warren is 31 years old and is passionate about art in general and street art and photography in particular. A pharmacy technician by training, he left his job in 2020 to devote himself entirely to creation.

He has been painting and drawing since 2017. It has become an obsession for him to search and explore new things. His work is now presented in several Parisian galleries.

Warren likes to travel to find new sources of inspiration. He always comes back with thousands of photos of people, architecture or landscape.

He has a child called Milo who contributes to his happiness.

Warren's Happy STYLE

Warren creates his portraits from photos that he first digitally stylizes and then redraws on paper or canvas. The portraits can be composed of curves, lines or circles which, by accumulation, form a face, a bit like pixelisation.

He likes to integrate faces in various forms, sometimes even in well-known works such as the Venus de Milo, Rodin's Thinker, Matisse's Nude Blue, the Mona Lisa or in the forms of pop characters like Mickey, Kirikou, Denver or Lego!

Why we LOVE Warren

As lifelong lovers of Vasarely, we fell in love with Warren's op art portraits.

Simple portrait or hidden in a known form, the works of this artist are of an incredible resemblance and can be admired from all angles, because the rendering is different according to the way in which one is placed.

A coup ❤️ also for the personality of the artist who is as funny and humorous as these drawings.

The Happy Funky PORTRAIT of Warren

♥ Do you remember your first aesthetic shock?
The architecture in big cities like Paris, Rome, New York. The view of Central Park from the towers, St Peter's Basilica, the gardens of the Royal Palace.

♥ The artist you would like to meet? What would you say to him?
Bansky! especially since I know who he is... I admire his work that always denounces with subtlety.

♥ What is your favourite colour?
Blue, the softness of a blue sky or the brightness of a sunny sea. The depth of a Majorelle blue always nice to combine with other brighter colours like yellow.

♥ Which museum gives you the greatest emotion? Why?
The Dali museum in Figueiras, for its architecture, its beautiful jewels, its so original works. i also like very much the contemporary collection of the Pompidou museum and the view on Paris from the roof.

♥ Which piece of art would you buy without hesitation if you had an unlimited budget?
A large format of Kandinsky's "Yellow, Red, Blue" or an original by Keith Haring.

♥ In which city do you feel happiest? Why do you think so? Share your 3 favourite places.
In the Cyclades islands in general, I had a wonderful holiday there. The weather was perfect in the summer with a little wind, the food is very good, the landscapes are breathtaking, the people are very friendly. For addresses, I would say Sarakiniko on the island of Milos or the town of Parikia on the island of Paros.
